just started using this laptop last night and now when watching a video it sputtered and turned white got a brief message saying some Video driver has been recovered
Every once in awhile my screen freezes, goes to black, and then recovers with a message that the display driver stopped working and has successfully recovered. I checked the event viewer and the Event ID is 4101. In the details it says "Display Diver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered." My computer is a Sony Vaio VPCCW17FX and my display driver is a GR Force G210 M. This started happening after I downloaded an update from VAIO Update awhile back. I have tried to go on NVIDIA's website and manually download the driver
My girlfriend wants me to pick a laptop for her for school next year and I think I've decided on the Vaio CW series, but I'm a little confused about what I've heard. I understand that the CW's on Bestbuy.com have a higher resolution screen and the 330 graphics card, making it much better than the CW on the sonystyle website. Will Sony be updating their CW series soon to match Bestbuy's?
1 - Download original drivers and utilities from VAIO support and unpack everything in your USB key 2 - Install Windows 7 from DVD 3 - Create on your desktop a directory called "All drivers" and copy usbpen content inside 4 - Goto Control PanelAll Control Panel ItemsWindows Update and select Check for updates (install everything except Nvidia) 5 - Goto Control PanelSystem and SecuritySystem and select device manager 6 - For each harware component (discovered or undiscovered) right click and select "Update driver software", choose "Browse my computer for driver software" and choose above created directory "All drivers". Let Windows scan alone the subdirectories and install the drivers. Except Nvidia video card ! 7 - Don't update component inside "System devices" tree 8 - Install Nvidia drivers using original setup. It may crash at the end, but everytinig is installed 9 - Reboot 10 - Respecting the following order: 1-Sony Programmable IO Control 2-Sony Firmware Extension Parser 3-Sony Shared Library 4-Sony Setting Utility 5-Sony VAIO Event Service 6-VAIO Control Center 7-VAIO Power Management 8-Sony ISB Utility 9-Sony HDD Protection Filter Driver 10-VAIO CAMERA CAPTURE UTILITY 11-VAIO SMART NETWORK 2.1_ 2.1.00.07300 12-PROTECTOR_SUITE_QL_184.108.40.20686 13-WWAN_CONNECTION_MANAGER_220.127.116.110 open each directory and only if it contains a setup file, like setup.exe or install.exe execute it. 11 - Goto Control PanelAll Control Panel ItemsWindows Update and select Check for updates (install everything, never update Nvidia driver, Windows update have a newone but not work) 11 - Reboot the system 12 - Open Vaio Network Utility and turn on WWAN 13 - Windows ask for drivers: as above select "All drivers" directory 14 - Reboot the system Everything should work, including special keys, stamina swithc and Fn Keys Tested on 3 VGN-Z21VN without problems.
I have been having an issue and it is probably the video card issue. When I start a game or a video everything is ok for a while. But after some time video driver crashes (random polygons in 3d games go black and then back to life, flash video freezes) and then I get that my display driver has crashed and recovered or BSOD. I have recently reinstalled my system (it's OEM) but[CODE]
My laptop is a Sony Vaio VGN-FS115B. When I bought it 4 years ago the operating system was all in German until yesterday when I decided to change it into English. A friend installed me XP Professional, 2002, Pack 3 which naturally resulted to the cancellation of the entire Vaio system (VAIO Zone, VAIO Update etc..), now not being able anymore to control the volume, light from my keyboard etc..My question is: I there a way to recover this Vaio System without having to do the complete recovery which will only take me back to the German operating system.
I recently upgraded to windows 7 from vista to try and solve an issue I have with my video drivers crashing whenever i do something graphically intensive.I opened up a thread on the vista forums here: Video Drivers Crashing - Vista Forums. But it doesn't seem that anyone can help me. I tried all of the basic troubleshooting steps, and have updated all the drivers on my system. The problem I am having is that I upgraded my graphics card recently to an Nvidia 430GT. I have done numerous checks (RAM, CPU, power supply, updated every driver on my system, etc.), and have had the graphics card replaced, but am still receiving the same issue. When I load up video games I will receive the message "Driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has recovered" at random intervals.Sometimes my system will completely freeze because the drivers won't recover. I contacted nvidia about the drivers and they had me try out a few driver versions (which i had already done), before telling me to get the graphics card replaced.
I'm close to getting my wife one of the Best Buy Sony VAIO CW series laptops...and am curious what she can expect as far as gaming performance. Her main interest involves Warcraft, Dawn of Discovery, Sims 3 types of games. Anybody here with experience on what to expect out of the Nvidia 210 video card that is in these things?
Just got it working, in my earlier attempts I tried all the latest W7 drivers from the Sony FTP site, but the latest sony utils don't seem to support the SZ2 anymore. In the end all it took was using the 'old' vista drivers from the Europe VAIO support site: http://support.vaio.sony.eu/computin...N-SZ2XP_C&os=7 Use the correct order: - Sony Utils DLL - Sony Shared Library - VAIO Event Services - Setting Utilities Services .....
i'm having some trouble with my display driver crashing when video files are played. sometimes the driver recovers, but other times it ends with a bsod.i am running windows 7 x64, 4gb ram and a ati radeon hd5870 with up-to-date drivers the driver crashes when - an embedded video, such as on Internet, attempts to play - during the windows experience index tests (fails during video processing) - playback of some video files in windows media player (error message states not enough memory) the video files in the windows/performance/winsat folder for example don't all crash.these all crash in wmp: clip_480_5sec_6mbps_h264 clip_480i_5sec_6mbps_new clip_480p_5sec_6mbps_new this doesn't:clip_1080_5sec_10mbps_h264 they all play in powerdvd 8 and quicktime.the bsod log's also point to one particular driver, dxgkrnl.sys the ati driver is up-to-date and i've tried updating directx as well. even tried reinstalling the os over the top of the existing installation.
I've installed windows 7 on my girl's notebook and i've got some problems: 1) this version of sony got a sensor touch bar in the top of the keyboard. It is not working (buttons ain't lightening at all..) 2) fn + brightness control is not working as well (i reinstalled all the vaio control center in the right order and all others fn keys are working) 3) nvidia drivers suggested from sony just crash every 5 minutes (the driver has stopped working and has been recovered), though the 190.38 driver that windows installed in the first installation works good. So.. this was from a clean installation, even though I have to admit I may have messed up with drivers since there was no official windows 7 driver yet released from sony. I've read that new bios should fix brightness issues, but the sony support gives a broken link to the new bios and i do not know where to dl it.
I have tried to go on NVIDIA's website and manually download the driver, but that hasn't worked either.
Can anyone be kind enough to share a flash ROM copy of Nvidia Geforce 8400M GT notebook graphics display for Sony Vaio VGN-AR61M? A backup copy done with Nvflash, NiBiTor or any similar flash app perhaps will do. I need to flash my video graphics display which is no longer recognized. For some unknown reasons, after installing and playing some high resolution games, my pc crashed and suddenly Windows 7 display won't accept any video driver except the standard VGA adapter

I'm having a hard time fixing the sound on my Sony Vaio Vaio VPCEE25FX/WI. Headphones work for some reason, but speaker doesn't.
I have a Sony Vaio VGN N130G with a Pro/Wireless driver. I searched for a driver called Intel PROSet/Wireless driver. This driver pulls down 2-3 bars of wireless signal while my Sony Vaio with Pro Wireless driver only pulled down 0-1 bars intermittently.

I have Sony Vaio VGN-UX280P and I've been having problems downloading and installing drivers. Some of the drivers work, some of them don't. It's a micro PC and has 2 built in cameras. I tried installing and reinstalling drivers. The one in the back that would make the computer work as a camera to point at someone and be able to take a picture with the capture button. But for some reason only the one in the front works. And the Vaio Camera Utility won't even load although the capture utility will. I also want to be able to get the fingerprint reader to work and it had a Original - UPEK Driver thing on the Sony eSupport site for it. I installed it and I tried installing Original - UPEK Protector Suite QL to use it, but it says that the .exe installer file or whatever isn't a valid win32 application. I tried downloading it with my regular Dell PC. I put it on the Sony Vaio and it said it was missing a .dll file.
I was googling information regarding a sony laptop I am interested in buying. I currently own a vaio vgn-fs640 which is working damn good and now I plan to buy another vaio laptop. I have selected two sony models but I am unable to decide which one to buy. The first model is vaio SR (http://www.sony.co.in/product/vgn-sr56gg) And the second model is vaio CS (http://www.sony.co.in/product/vgn-cs...vgn-cs36gj_qe1) ......
I have ubuntu on a Vaio VGN-A290 with the ATI Mobility Radeon 9600 M10 graphics card. I I installed the Eternal Lands client but it keeps crashing on me. Upon crashing a massage told me that I should make sure the video drivers are up to date. I then went into system --> Administration --> Hardware drivers and it says "no proprietary drivers are in use on this system." So my question is how do I install a driver for the ATI Mobility Radeon 9600 M10?
I have a Sony Vaio VGN-FS93S laptop. It is about 4-5 years old. I bought it in Thailand so I think it is a Sony Asian region model. I installed Windows 7 on it today without any problems. It runs fine, but I am having some driver problems as expected. Even though there are a couple of red lights in the Device Manager, all my hardware is working fine except for the wireless network card. I dont mind the errors in the Device Manager as long as everything works somehow. But I also cant get the function keys working on the laptop, which I would like to have working too. I called Sony in Thailand and they said the laptop is too old so Sony wont be supporting it with new drivers for Windows 7. Are there any Windows 7 drivers from other Vaio models which might be compatible with my laptop?
Kiwi (new zealander) here, ive been sortof eyeing the cw series and looking for some kindof equivalent over this way, we do seem to have a previous iteration. however sony model numbers are doing my head in, ive found something fairly decent, albeit a little out of my price range at 2.5knzd (1.7kusd); (edit) durr need model number too, S Series apparently, Sony Vaio VPCS117GGB. 2.40 GHz Intel Core i5-520M Processor 4GB DDR3 Ram .....

I want to find drivers for windows 7 x64 for my sony vaio SZ691N. probably other drivers for SZ series also compatible.

I have a sony Vaio VGN-SZ4XWN/C and recently installed Windows 7. Installation was fine, however the screen resolution does not go past 1024 x 768. The monitor is wide screen 1280x800 so would have hoped for this option. I have tried these drivers NVIDIA DRIVERS 179.48 BETA and it does not recognise the hardware and this option from another post, which does not work Vista drivers and utilities Sony Vaio SZ available | Trevin Chow The Graphics card is NVDIA GeForce Go 7400 GPU. any thoughts?
since i upgraded my sony vaio from Vista to windows 7 I have problems .When I start some programs I get the message "your device for mass storage is not installed My machine can not find any drivers on the HDD or internet.I need the driver for Nvidia Geforce 8400 GS.The driver from the Nvidia site is not accepted by my sony vaio laptop.VGN-NR31-Z/S
I have updated my Vaio All in One PC (VGC-VA1 ) to Windows 7 . Sony Vaio no longer suppot this machine running under Windows 7 . However Most of supplied Vista drivers do work . It seems the X700 mobility, ATI Display Driver installs and works properly (8.561.0.0) , however the Catalyst Control panel does not . So the Catalyst Control Panel no longer works , It does seem to install, using Sony's provided Vista drivers , though there's compatibility issues I do like the options in Catalyst control in general , so how can I get it working
Previous OS on my Sony Vaio Notebook was Windows Vista, since Windows7 64bits was installed my graphic driver doesn't work and Sony as well as Vaio don't have updates for driver. Microsoft can't recognize driver to update.
I have a Vaio Z690 and am using the default 174.49 Nvidia drivers which sony provides. What I am wondering is if there is a better driver I should be using then this one. I have read My discoveries on Vaio Zs Hybrid Graphics although could someone point me in the right direction of which driver I should be using, that has been verified that will still allow me to keep all the features such as the stamina vs speed mode switch, shortcut buttons, etc with everything working 100%.
I have a Sony Vaio VGN-NS30E/W, on which I am running Windows 7.Some days ago, I have installed a new driver for the Sony Visual Communication Camera (Motion Eye) webcam and the device worked fine. However, today the device has stopped working (Code 43) and it now states that it is using the older version of the driver. Can anyone tell me where I can find the new driver files on my laptop, so I can manually locate them? I have installed them via DriverMax, so am not quite sure where the driver is located.
my problem is about my GPU, the display drivers stop responding and then it recovers again. After that I cannot play any video what so ever (game, online video, etc). this is the message: (Display driver stopped responding and has recovered - Display driver NIVIDA Winnows Kernel Driver, Version 285.62 stopped responding and has successfully recovered) AND YES I AM USING THE LATEST NVIDIA DRIVERS.
Starting about a month ago, after six to seven months of my laptop working fine, I've been getting video and audio stuttering whenever gaming or watching most HD videos and after messing around with my drivers I realized that whenever my Realtek HD Audio drivers are disabled my video runs flawlessly, but when enabled both video and audio stutter. I'm using a Sony VAIO laptop so I'm assuming that the sound card isn't easily replaceable. I've tried using the newest drivers straight from Realtek's website and also the outdated driver provided by Sony's website, both of which result in the same stuttering. Sony has also replaced the motherboard once and it did not resolve the issue.I'm currently running Windows 7 with 6gb of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce 330M graphics card.
I need win7 drivers for sony vpceb14EN drivers. I am new to sony products I have formatted my sony vaio before building rescue disk, thinking that drivers might available at sony support website. But they only provide updates to drivers!!! I have searched a lot and found that they provide complete drivers & vaio software for business products. Among those the following models HTML Code: VPCEB14FD VPCEB14FX/WI VPCEB14FX VPCEB14Fd/BI which are closer to vpceb14EN Is there any problems in downloading and installing these drivers. or plz. suggest any other alternative solution??
I've installed Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit on a HP Pavilion Laptop model dv9292eu by backing up my work and formatting the HDD. The issue I am having is that I cannot seem to get the Nvidia Graphics driver to work. I downloaded the most recent driver for the Nvidia Geforce Go 7600 from Nvidia site and I get the blue screen so I have now uninstalled the driver and gone back to standard VGA.I have also searched this forum and I came across the following thread which assisted me in the past with a Sony Vaio laptp.
my notebook is Sony vaio sz7 and I used to work with a dual monitor. But after the installation of windows seven I can`t connect my NEC monitor. i think its because of the video driver. my video adapter is NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS but i can`t find a driver for 8M series for seven.
Im running Windows 7 Home on my laptop and some of my video editting software has been crashing and I get this error message."Display driver stopped responding and has recovered. Display driver NIVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version 267.21 stopped responsing and has successfully recovered"Im running on the Alienware M14x, x64, 6GB RAM, quadcore processor.Video card is a Geforce GT 555M 1.5gb total video memory. It crashes when I am on Video Editting software like Adobe After Effects CS5.5.I have also noticed that my memoery usage goes up to like 85-90% which seems kind of weird. is it normal that my OS has 1.8gb on standby all the time?
I'm pretty much sold on a Vaio laptop as opposed to Dell or HP. With my budget of 1k or thereabouts I've specced up the following models with the same processor:- Vaio CW (VPC CW1X5E) Intel Core Duo 2.53GHz 320 GB hard drive (5400rpm) 4 GB 1066MHz DDR3 RAM Blu-ray disc drive (read/write) 14 inch LCD 1366 x 768 NVIDIA GeForce GT230M 512MB graphics Windows 7 Home Premium Sonystyle price is 859.00 Vaio FW (VGN FW55X) Intel Core Duo 2.53GHz 320 GB hard drive (5400rpm) 4 GB 800 MHz DDR2 RAM Blu-ray disc drive (read/write) 16.4 inch LCD 1600 x 900 ATI Radeon HD4570 512MB graphics Windows 7 Home Premium Sonystyle price is 909.01 I kind of like the CW as it's new, has the quick splashtop browser, and is more portable. DDR3 RAM on the CW should also be quicker and consume less power than DDR2 on the FW. I have no idea which of the graphics options is better - NVIDIA on the CW or ATI on the FW. The FW seems to have better screen and sound for movie watching. I could also consider stretching the budget up and get a full HD version of the FW but is this really worth it in your opinion - I'm not sure how big a difference the 1920x1080 screen will make vs the 1600x900?
Is anyone running Windows 7 via Bootcamp (not virtualized) on the new 15inch MBP with the core i5? How is the performance? How is the battery life?Any driver issues or other problems of note?Does the new MBP still run at 1 million degrees in Windows 7? I am debating buying the new 15inch MBP core i5 or the Sony Vaio Z for a development laptop to run Windows 7. If the new MBP runs Windows 7 very nicely then I might go with it over the Sony Vaio Z.
I have a Sony Vaio vgn-sz440. Here is what the specs say about the video card. [code]... I do not understand, do I have an Intel video card, or an Nvidia video card? Should I install the Nvidia video card driver, because every time I try, everything gets real glitchy and I revert back to my original setup.

I am having problems with the brightness control on my sony vaio laptop, at virst when i upgraded the driver for the VGA card the whole screen went blank, I had to port a bin file from windows and write my own EDID file to get it to work (nVidia GT 230M), but I am having problems with the brightness, although ubuntu does read the input from the keys (FN+...), the brightness refuses to change, adding the brightness applet to the taskbar does not work either. I really need to be able to change my brightness because the battery usage is off the charts.
at first excuse me for a new thread about this problem, know the solution is in official sr topic but have no time to search !!! excuse me again have a sony vaio sr39vn, cleaned the recovery and installed a clean vista but have some problems now !!!!! 1--FN key isnt working now ( brightness, volume control and etc .... ) 2--mode and settings buttons and functions arent also working 3--some of the drivers arent in sony support so found them from usa support (like wireless, webcam ) and also some of drivers in sony suport ( like hdd protection driver, spef driver
im deciding between the Sony Vaio CW Series or the Sony Vaio E Series i do work in Video Editing, Graphic Design, Flash Website Design, GTA, COD, NFS Gaming, and watch HD movies which laptop has the better body of the two[palmrest, lid, keyboard (spacing), and overall quality. Can you please explain i like a laptop with a nice and sturdy and a solid feel, i hate the cheap plastic feel as the CR has, and does the weight just feel heavy or does it help with the solid feel and is it balanced(i dont mind the weight i just like it feeling strong) and in which would i get better specs for under? and how is the cooling on both?
last month I upgrade the HSDPA board to the Vaio VGN-Z790LDX in order to use any sim card from any international cellphone company and it worked at first attempt . now I just replaced the IFX-517 and the wwan to the Vaio VGN-TT290NBX and I have installed one IFX-517 having the sim card slot and I placed the unlocked wwan GTM382. anyone did the same upgrade? which driver are the best in order to make it working properly? I am asking this because I did try to install the Option driver /Globe Trotter Connect and the Vaio Smart Network but for many times it was not succefully done . the first times the minicard was in the device manager list but just till the laptop was on.......and after restart it was not there . now finally after many times removing the driver and the minicard the system is working but I don't know for how long........ now I am wondering that I did mistake at the beginning because I mixed sony driver and Option drive and software.............in few words I made a Cocktail,

I've downloaded a number of updated device drivers for my new FW490, from the Vaio update site. I've noticed, however, that these may not be the most recent drivers. For example, Sony shows the most recent Realtec audio driver as 6.01.5759, but when I checked on another driver site, it listed a newer driver : 6.0.1. 58. Should I stick with vaio downloads only?
I just upgraded my laptop from Win Vista to Windows 7 home. I am having a problem with screen resolution. I tried to manually go to nVidia and intel to install the drivers with no luck. I tried downloading the drivers for win 7, and as advised by other forums, download the driver for win vista... still no luck I have two option in resolutions, 1024x768 and 800x600 Laptop: Sony Vaio VGN-SZ430N Graphics Processor / Vendor: NVIDIA GeForce Go 7400 / Intel GMA 950 TurboCache supporting 128MB Windows 7 *32 bit Just came back from Bestbuy, and the guys over at Geek squad did everything that I basically did yesterday. he told me to file a request to make a driver for my laptop , and that sony vaio laptops werent put together right for win 7 .
I did a fresh reinstall of Windows 7 Professional, 64-bit on my Sony Vaio VGN-Z790DND laptop. I tried following the guides posted on the forums on what order to install the utilities, etc to get everything working. So far, I think I got almost everything working except for the "speed" video card. It runs the Nvidia 9300M GS chipset. I downloaded the driver straight from Sony and tried to install it .....
I just recently replaced my old HP laptop with a Sony VAIO. I installed all of my development software on it, including SQL Server 2005 and the studio. At some point when I am using the studio on this new laptop, if I try to resize any of the columns to better fit the data, it crashes my laptop. I get the infamous Blue Screen of Death. The laptop is a Sony Vaio BX670P and it has Win XP SP2 with all of the latest and greatest updates loaded on it. The BSD blames a driver for causing the crash and points out "win32k.exe" specifically. This has never happened to me before. Does anyone know why this might be happening? - - - - - Will - - - - - http://www.strohlsitedesign.com
I have a sony z46gd with vista business 64bit edition. i wanted to install win 7 so i created a new partition with the freespace and sucessfully managed to install win7 on the new partition But now I'm trying to install the drivers from the europe sony site as pointed out in another thread , but sadly. ikeep getting the battery is not compatible error pointed in this thread I suspect that the drivers i installed are for win7 business and not win7 ultimate where do u find the win7 ultimate drivers for this sony vaio ?
It seems that Sony is updating their FTP with Win 7 drivers. Some drivers are Alps touchpad(Win 7/Vista 64-bit), Nvidia 186.56(Win 7/ Vista 64-bit), Intel chipset, SATA driver, etc. Link : ftp://ftp.vaio-link.com/PUB/VAIO/ORIGINAL/ (Look for the most recent dated drivers)
when ever I install the VGA driver (any version of it- from the oldest to the newest) my laptop shows me a BSOD, each time with different messages (such as: page fault with non paged area, system service exception, memory management,... I've even recovered it using the image disks which I've created when it was a brand new, but I still have the same problem. All the mini dump files attached. for nearly every Sony Vaio model use the ASIAN Site they've even got hard to find stuff like the drivers for the Dual Sony MMC SDHC card reader.Original Drivers and Applications for VPCEH/EJ Series (Windows 7 64-Bit) Download: Sony Asia Pacific (Other models too.I was just chasing down stuff for a model I've been using). Forget about those VILE sites that sucker you in to "Free Driver Search" -- and when they find something you have to PAY to access the relevant area (We call this stuff "Sneakerware" and it's becoming more and more prevalent - they say FREE DOWNLOAD but that's all that's free is the Download.
I finished with a fresh install of Windows 7 Ultimate x64 in a new Sony Vaio S laptop. I installed all of the Sony Drivers and also performed Windows Update. A few drivers provided by Sony were not compatible with 7 (they are listed for Win 8), but I was able to download them from the device manufacturer. I checked Device Manager and I'm unable to install drivers for Universal Serial Bus Controller (see screenshot below).
After many installations, I was finally able to get windows 7 running good on my computer. Good meaning that FN hotkeys work for volume, brightness, and vga output. All the drivers are installed correctly. I did a fresh install of Windows 7 7600-16385 x86 and used this thread as a guide to install the drivers. I downloaded the orginal Vista drivers (sony vaio vista update drivers did not install correctly for me) from sony support website, NOT XP DRIVERS
Plan to install Windows 7 Professional on VAIO CS17G. Looking around have found that Windows 7 upgrade has caused issues with the Volume Keys Touch Panel, FN Keys & the Web Cam. I just did a clean install of the newest version of Ubuntu (11.4?) on my Sony Vaio CW. I was able to use the WiFi at my friends house where I installed it. At home when I entered the pass for the internet it would try connecting and five minutes later be back asking for the pass again. It won't connect at my house or my grandparent's house. They both have a protected internet but my friend does also and I was able to connect to his.
I recently downgraded my sony vaio from Vista to Xp. And with the help of this site and others, have tracked down nearly all of the drivers needed to make it work. The only thing I am having problems with is the sound card. In the device manager, it shows that the SigmaTell High Definition Audio Codec has an error code 10 (will not start) I am not sure what else to try to cure this and get sound back on the laptop.
I just ordered my SONY VAIO FW Series VGN-FW373J/B Before it gets here I would love to have the drivers ready to go for a full on wipe and reload! :O So was wondering if the owners of this laptop can shout out the parts numbers I will need to research to get the drivers, chipset ect..... Video will prolly be the most easy.

I'm trying to install the latest driver for my Geforce 9300M card. But when I find the driver dowload page from the Nvidia site, they invariably state that... I have a Dell XPS M2010 that I recently changed to 64 bit running Windows 7. Since I have had the computer there have been issues with the display driver not responding but when I check for updates, it says best driver is already downloaded. Not a day passes by when the display crashes and recovers on the average of at least 5 times. There has to be another driver that will work for this thing but I am not having any luck finding it. Can someone please tell me how to fix this issue
I think when I bought this machine I was told that it had Bluetooth. I have a Sony VAIO VGN-FW190EFH, and according to this specification sheet from Sony, it indeed does have Bluetooth. I downloaded the latest driver from VAIO's support site, but when I tried to install it, it said that it couldn't detect a Bluetooth adapter! I bought a Bluetooth mouse today but when I tried to connect it, my laptop is acting as if it doesn't have Bluetooth. What should I do?

I am looking for advice to recover a video i deleted a long time ago.The system that it was on hasn't been formatted and is running Windows XP Home.Is there any way i can recover this video?I remember that it was taken from a Sony Ericsson mobile phone and name of the file was probably "MOV******".Edit: I just realized that i am refering to a Windows XP system and that this is a Windows 7 Forum
it started about a few months ago, when my computer wouldn't let me play games or Internet videos one day suddenly, the screen would turn green and it would say a "graphic driver failed and has now been recovered" i updated the drivers and it fixed it for ages up until yesterday. i moved my computer onto a new desk and suddenly it started going weird again, it was failing to start up, crashing 2/3 times when it was on the windows logo, then crashing and emitting a annoying buzzing noise, which i fixed by updating the system and graphic drivers again, but now it's gone back to doing the "graphic driver failed and has now been recovered" error, stopping the video and or window that i'm using like msn or skype for instance. also sometimes the screen will just go a bright white and it has to be reset because you cannot see anything else on the monitor. tried with different monitor still same issues. I bought a Sony Vaio VPCZ227GG almost 2 months back and its been running perfectly until the last week. There have been no hardware updates, system installs etc. only the recommended Sony Vaio Care driver updates.I will be using the laptop for a while and then it will just crash. The laptop stays on the screen it was on before the crash but the mouse, keyboard, basically everything is dead. The only way to cycle it is to power down.
