My Blackberry Torch 9860 is stuck on a software update. It gets to 10% of overall backup process and then just stops. I cannot get into anything or use the phone. I have pulled the battery out and it goes back to the same thing.
I have a blackberry 9860 torch and its stuck on 18% on the software update, ive took the battery out twice , there no differnce and my blackberry desktop wont pick it up
I have a BB Torch 9860 - I update the phone via Descktop Software - PC The problem I am having is:The BB software is telling me that there is a new bundle available for my phone, however when I go through the steps needed to download and install the bundle, I keep getting an error opening installation log file. I have taken screen shots and created a document with them in it so you can take a look.I am not sure how to attach it to this post though, My PC has the latest version of the desktop software loaded.
Received my new BB torch 9860 this morning and added some contacts. But for some reason when a few of them accepted and became contacts I was (and still am) unable to view their display pictures and the same people can't see mines. I never had this problem with my old BB torch 9860 and I have tried everything I can think of to fix the issue like rebooting, taking battery out, backing up contacts etc but I'm still having the same problem. I'm using blackberry messenger version 188.8.131.52.
I recently purchased Torch 9860. Last sunday i was travelling, suddenly cell lost the network connection and switched off. when rebooted it showing "error 102 Reload Software", I tried to connect this device with Desktop manager as per the solutionds given on BB website but Desktop manager is not able to detect the phone, and i am unable to do anything since there are not software update for OS 7 yet.
I have a BB Torch 9860 and I've been trying to connect it to the bb protect (I installed the app in my BB, but it doesn't connect to the BB protect website, it shows "connecting" and stays like that for days!). I don't have a BES.
I have a BB Torch 9860, when I have the phone in a case or in my pocket I have trouble with the BB menu key and the return key not responding. I have tried many different things to get it to work again including pressing on the buttons many times one after the other. This sometimes works! I also try removing battery the putting it back in, this also sometimes works. If I leave my phone on the arm of the sofa when not in use it works fine. This is really confusing! is this a software error or phone error? it only seamed to start doing it when I updated the software to BB 7 from BB 6.
My BB torch 9860 was working fine until I upgraded to OS7. Now it reboots on trying to launch almost all apps including camera, maps, google maps, Qype and many other apps downloaded through BB app world. I have tried uninstalling these apps and re-installing them but the same thing happens. I really like the phone and am so disappointed that I can't use it for these applications.

How do I change the BB ID associated with a particular device? I have recently been given a new BB Torch 9860 by my employers so I now have 2 BBs. However, during setup I associated the new phone with my BB ID that is still in use on the other phone but it doesn't look like I can run both devices with the same ID - so so how do I remove the ID from the new one? I will be keeping both phones so I guess I will need seperate IDs for both?
I tried to update my BB torch 9860 using OTA from 7.1 bundle 1149 up to 7.1 bundle 2016. After update was successfully finished, I noticed that the screen on BB has changed. All icons became very small or missing. The phone is working, I can accept calls, but cannot dial because cannot access the dial pad. I've tried to downgrade to the previous version, and after successful downgrade, at least that what's was written, the problem persist. If I try to access some applications the screen shows: uncaught exception: Bitmap invalid (null). I cannot access Application management. The phone constantly get stuck on one screen for a long time....
Files in the csv format are unable to display in my bb torch 9860, update me any application I need to install to display the csv files. I went thru documents to go (option) when browsing for the file it is not showing csv file in the media card.
I was so excited to have a Blackberry device and my choice was the Torch 9810 mainly for 3 reasons. 1- The big screen. 2- The touch screen with the sliding keyboard. 3- Latest OS. As I watched and read so many reviews about it and compared it to the Bold 9900 and the Torch 9860. The reviews for the Torch 9860 were somehow negative, and the sliding keyboard was a win over the Torch 9860. Bold seemed to be a good phone but the bigger screen was again what made me go for the Torch 9810. For a new Blackberry user like me, I couldn't really figure out much differences between the three phones. Unfortunately the Torch 9810 is not yet here in Egyptian market and I was about to buy a Bold 9900 till I noticed it would be locked to my carrier and then I changed my mind. I asked a family member to buy the Torch 9810 for me from the UAE and I finally got it one week ago.

I recently got a BB Torch 9860 phone. However the convenience key is not working. No matter to what option I set it to, it doesn't work. The default Camera also doesn't work. I recently changed my bb 9670 style cdma for a torch 9860 gsm and now with this new bb the bis service over the wifi is not working and is the same carrier just changed the device, also i have a unlimited data plan, but in some areas where im used to stay there is bad reception so i used to be connected by wifi for my bis services, is this a problem of the gsm or RIM, i called several times to costumer assistance but they said that new os7 dont support bis over wifi, and thats not true so what u recomend to me
I bought an BB Torch 9800 in USA, factory unlocked, from AT&T, and now i'm in Brazil with another carrier here.Everytime that I try to sync my BB protect with my BB ID, it shows 'Verifying Blackberry ID' and then, it returns 'The Blackberry ID service is unavaible' but when I tried to sync my BB App World with my Blackberry ID, it was ok.And another problem is, i've updated my Blackberry Core Systems with Blackberry Desktop Software, but everytime that I connect my blackberry with my PC, it shows that I need to update it again. I've update more than 3 times, and still shows as not updated.
I have problem with my BB Torch 9860 smartphone.I used to connect my WiFi when i am in my home.In connection management it shows that WiFi connected but when I started to browse, the browsing is happening through my Wireless connection that is my mobile provider.So loosing my money due to this.I did so many checkups still facing same problem.Please assist me on this.Also I have one more problem with G-Talk, I installed it successfully and when tried to login showing that this handheld is not support gtalk application.Suggest me on this also.

I have BB Torch 9860. I succesfully added 3 email accounts earlier to my device. But I want to add a POP email account also (@aub.edu.lb) to the device. It is giving me an error message that my username or password are wrong. I tried several times but it keeps on failing. I am sure I am entering correct username and passord. Several other friends have the same domain configured well on previous versions of BB (Torch or Bold)!I need to add information about the POP port number and SSL encrypted connection so that I can extract the emails through phone. but I am not being able to do that on my torch.

I recently switched from bold 9700 to torch 9860. I setup my msn and gmail account on my Blackberry and it worked fine until I activated enterprise email account. Both msn and gmail 's icon dispeared and i don't get emails pushed to my blackberry any more. I already erased both msn and gmail accounts on BB and re-setup, doesn't make a difference. the msn worked fine on my 9700 until i switch.

I can move the factory installed icons like the BBapp world icon, but icons for apps I have downloaded cannot be moved. When I select the icon of the 3rd party app i want to move, and press/hold the BB button, no menu with a "move" option appears.
My bold 9700 got stolen. I had blackberry protect activated on it and was taking weekly backups. I bought the new torch 9860 and a replacement sim. I am just not able to set up an email account or login using my blackberry id. BB messenger is working fine if i manually add contacts but Internet on the phone isnt working.
When in Greek Display language (not in English) and in Contacts, Phone fields, entering of an '0' number, I get displayed a highlighted 'W' instead.This of course can be stressfully corrected via a copy and pasting an '0'char else use my phone in English Display Language. Did anyone else, in any other than Greek Display Language have that same problem? My phone is: BB Torch 9860, OS 7.1 bundle 2061 but I had that same issue with 1149 (as bought)
I had a BB Torch 9860 when it came out and sent back to Vodafone UK for replacement for exact same model, when i go online on blackberry protect i can still see old device there i have manage to remove it and i need to add this new one into it however i can not seem to find where the heck is the option to do that
I am using Outlook 2010 and BB Torch 9860. The sent messages from my Outlook do not show up in the blackberry email (corporate email id) that I have configured. But sent messages from Blackberry do show up in sent messages on Outlook.

Another frustration I'm having with my first smartphone, torch 9860 bought 1 week ago ....hen I'm talking on the phone, several undesirable things might occur, like I hang-up, or put on speaker phone, or put on hold, or unless the fingers are placed "just so" and my earring doesn't happen to bump the touch screen I can't seem to just have a conversation.Is it really necessary to hold this BB like a small pizza, that is, flat and carefully around the edges, and speak down into it with my chin on my chest?
I have bought BB Torch 9810 recently. And dowloaded latest version of BB Desktop software. I tried to synchronize the BB contact with Outlook 2007. However, it is taking 5 hours or more to do the same. And even after giving so much of time, it gives errors and only partial contacts are transferred to Outlook. (Previously I was using BB Torch and the sync was just taking 2-3 minutes).

My Torch keeps freezing up and gets stuck on vibrate and won't stop, then constantly reboots by it's self, recently did a security wipe and cleared everything, updated software twice, and problems still persist. Switched out battery with my husbands torch and problems persist. Have no retailer in my area to help, need advice...I bought torch second hand so I think It's down to what the manufacturer can do or im stuck with a bad phone....
When I first received the Torch 9860, it was continuously restarting. Reading the forums, I have performed a wipe and reinstallation of the Blackberry software for torch 9860 using the current version and the latest version by AT&T. In all cases, I receive an error 102 when the device is initializing. Then, it starts rebooting over and over. I have installed the following... Desktop Manager: 610_b038_multilanguage.exe Blackberry OS: 9860M_PBr7.0.0_rel2216_PL126.96.36.1990_A188.8.131.520_AT_T.exe I have tried in different PC's and I have used BBSAK to wipe the phone before reinstalling the OS, and no luck.

I had a Blackberry Torch 9800 at&t version and after a while, the sound just would no longer go through the earphones and would only come out the external speaker, I figured the problem was hardware failure so I upgraded to Blackberry Torch 9860.....and now the new 9860 that I have had for barely a month is doing the same thing. Two consecutive phones doing exactly the same thing makes me think the problem is not hardware but rather software related......is there some setting in the phone somewhere that controls where the sound comes out? I want to be able use my earphones so I don't disturb everyone else at work.

Recently I've updated my Torch 9860, after which I've found a changed app in my app switcher. When opening the switcher, there is an app called: AlternateApp. The icon has a question mark in in and opening this app freezes the app switcher. I can't find out what this app is referring to, maybe a recently updated app through the app world or there might be some other issue.
I recently purchased BB Torch 9860 with OS 7 and configured by personal and work email on BIS. I am receiving emails only in text format. In some emails with images that have hyperlink, I just see a link and images not displayed. All the images comes as an attachment in the email. My friend having another BB Torch is able to view emails as HTML. But he is with BES. Is there any solution for my issue? I am not receiving any options in the email preference to enable HTML format for emails.
I have a red star on the "Software updates" icon on my BB Torch screen. When I click on it, I get the information "Version 6.0 Bundle 2391. Perform Update". But when I go to update, I get the message "This update includes enhancements to your Blackberry Device Software. If you download it over the wirlesss network, charges may apply." hat is this update and do I need it and why are there charges?
I am unable to pair my Torch 9860 with my Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit Laptop (the laptop is Fujitsu AH530/GFX). I have: 1. Reinstalled the BB Desktop Manager several times; 2. I reinstalled the Bluetooth drivers several times 3. Reinstalled all Windows features 4. Enabled all ports and communication services in Windows and Windows Firewall 5. I deactivated and reactivated by anti-virus The Torch recognizes the laptop but the laptop doesn't recognize the Torch. I've been on the Fujitsu website and reinstalled all the drivers.
