oops my torch 9810 got wet. It seems to be completely dry now. the red marks on the battery and on the device are still there, but it won't power up. What can I try? I've plugged it in to the charger and to the computer--still no luck
I have bought BB Torch 9810 recently. And dowloaded latest version of BB Desktop software. I tried to synchronize the BB contact with Outlook 2007. However, it is taking 5 hours or more to do the same. And even after giving so much of time, it gives errors and only partial contacts are transferred to Outlook. (Previously I was using BB Torch and the sync was just taking 2-3 minutes).
I have a new BB Torch 9810 and I'm trying to restore from BB Protect but not all contacts restore - and it seems random which ones don't. I tried a resolution posted about unticking not restoring contacts which are e-mail synchronized but the only option under "Synchronisation Options" on my Torch is "Deleted items". When I look at the back-up data on Protect for the old device (Torch 9800) each synch has 2 Address Book entries with different numbers of items. Could it somehow be restoring only one of these two files?
My blackberry torch 9810, switched off after having a low battery, i put it to charge, but the red light keeps (blink....blink blink blink) but it won't charge nor power up, i have tried connecting it to my pc the pc won't even detect it and the read light keeps blinking.Idid my research at crackberry.com and saw a software update would solve the issue, but i cannot update it using the desktop software because the pc won't recognize it. I tried removing the battery then connecting it to the pc but still its not recognized what could be wrong.
I cannot get my new torch 9810 to charge with a usb car charger. All the ones I have tried (4 brands) do not work. The phone does not recognize them as a charging source. They will charge my ipad, iphone 4s , curve and torch 9800 but not my 9810. I am reluctant to buy a charger for this phone only. Fustrated again with BB.
I have just upgraded from Bold 9000 to Torch 9810. I think BlackBerries are superb but . there are quite a few basic apps I had on my Bold, which show as 'unavailable for this device' in App World when I try and get them for my Torch 9810. A good example is the MobileMoney mobile banking app, and also the NatWest mobile banking app. When I tried to get the BB Feedback App, so I could request BB do something about it, the Feedback App itself was 'unavailable for this device' Is it just because the 9810 is such a new device and BB are working hard to get all the Apps available - or do they just not really care about Apps availability at all ?
I was so excited to have a Blackberry device and my choice was the Torch 9810 mainly for 3 reasons. 1- The big screen. 2- The touch screen with the sliding keyboard. 3- Latest OS. As I watched and read so many reviews about it and compared it to the Bold 9900 and the Torch 9860. The reviews for the Torch 9860 were somehow negative, and the sliding keyboard was a win over the Torch 9860. Bold seemed to be a good phone but the bigger screen was again what made me go for the Torch 9810. For a new Blackberry user like me, I couldn't really figure out much differences between the three phones. Unfortunately the Torch 9810 is not yet here in Egyptian market and I was about to buy a Bold 9900 till I noticed it would be locked to my carrier and then I changed my mind. I asked a family member to buy the Torch 9810 for me from the UAE and I finally got it one week ago.
I am quite unhappy with my blackberry 9810 and with Research In Motion at the moment. I noticed my phone would suddenly go off and restart. Only a few weeks later, it wouldn't restart by itself after suddenly going off. I had to restart it whenever i noticed it was off. But it got worse, it later would not respond at all after it had gone off and it would sometimes take a whole day to start. It was then I went to the ResearchInMotion site. Nothing specific. Only links in the help forum to crackberry.com. I read the many stories I saw like "put your battery in your palms and rub it till it gets warm" and "use a short cable to connect your device to the laptop"... I have swithced batteries to be sure it was not a battery fault. I have re-installed the OS, upgraded to 7.0 and used the Loader.exe countless times. Those worked only like 3 times after days and days of labour, many missed calls, records and events in my planner. Often, it would work for one day and then go off for two. It has not worked for 2 days now and non of these troubleshooting work again; no red light indicator when i connect it directly to the laptop using a USB cable, nothing.
On my BB Bold 9700 I used to have my BB calender synced with Google Calender and I used a Google Sync App to link them. I am trying to do the same on my BB Torch 9810 However I cannot find Google Sync on App World now.
I just bought the new Torch 9810. All was working fine for 2 days. I have 3 email accounts on my BB, 1 hotmail and 2 yahoo accounts. Now all of a sudden 1 account is not sending through to my BB. I have checked my password and I have unistalled and reinstalled that email account onto my BB. I received the email to say it was activated but nothing after that.
I just switched from a Storm 2 to the Torch 9810. My Torch will not enter landscape mode or even move from the portrit mode, so basically the accelerometer seems inop. I have pulled the battery and it will work for a few hours but then it stops again. I am trying to avoid pulling the battery every 8 hours. I have read online that the problem might be related to my transferring some old BB 5 settings to my new phone
I am on my 4th B.B. Torch 9810. At odd times when the keyboard is extended and I am typing an email or text msg. The screen will black out and bounce me out to the main screen. This has happened on every Torch I have received since January of this year.
i am a previous owner of bb 8520 and has already an existing blackberry id.recently, i have upgraded to a torch 9810, but now i cannot login to my bb id account using my phone.however, i can login without problems with my id when using a computer.i cannot fully enjoy the features of my phone because of this.
My BB Torch 9810 is less than 3 months old. Yesterday Morning, I observed that it went off. I thot the battery was down, so I decided to charge it. I have 2 BB Torch 9810, Both have different IDs, but if I try to use the same e-mail, one of my phones will erase the others' e-mails, and vice-versa. How can I get two different BB IDs' for my phones and still use the same e-mails on both? Cause I need to access my e-mails in both phones.

My BB Torch 9810 stopped working. Worked with carrier no luck was sent a new phone. I was told that I could go through BB website to have all data wiped from the device. Can anyone confirm that this will indeed wipe all date from the phone even though it will not turn on, has no battery, SIM card or media card in it?

I can receive voice notes but must close bbm to listen to them,, and when I got to record a voice note ,i cannot stop it from recording, and it will not send.

opying contacts from a Bold 9810 to another 9810.Using the BB Desktop Software I did a full backup of the device (which contained 400+ contacts), then did a full restore on a new 9810, but only 200 contacts were copied over.Next I tried to do a selective restore, but although the 400+ contacts were in the file, it was grayed out and could not be selected. How can I get all the contacts into the new 9810. (Side note: I was able to restore the 400+ contacts to a BB Bold).
I was having hard time to verify my BB ID via my unit (Torch 9810) up to now, its been weeks already.I've checked my password and it's correct since I can log-in via web. But everytime, I tried to verify it in my unit I am getting this error: " Unable to login to your BlackBerry ID account" . I have a bb torch 9810 and recently installed windows live messenger. Sometimes it works but most of the time it does not let me sign in the error message internal server error appears on the screen and when I can log in its not allowing me to add more then two contacts it says its full when I have only 2 email addresses in my list.

I am using Torch 9810 and I am facing problem during backing up my data through BB Desktop Software.Backup start smoothly but in the process it stops automatically and its gives Error saying "Cable is not connected Properly or make sure device is switched on".Same cable works fine while charging or transfering data from phone to pc or pc to phone.Everything works fine except the backup.
I would need an advice from you. I have bought BB Torch 9810 yesterday and when I tried to synchronize music, I got duplicated entries. To avoid that I have erased all music in order to upload/synchronize them just once. Apparently, I have also deleted all ring tones, alert tones (low battery, disconnected, incoming email etc), simply all. Now Im getting error messages all the time.Is there any way how to recover these sounds back? Or do I need to reinstall something
My BB Torch 9810 freezes and displays a little icon that seems to take the place of an hour glass. When it freezes there is nothing I can do to get back to operating except waiting. This happens at all different times including during a call which prevents me from hanging up. I have spent hours with AT&T. All they could recommend is wiping it clean. I did and it still freezes!
I have a BB Torch 9810. I have been trying to upgrade my Facebook and BBM applications but I receive an error message telling me to log in every time I try to upgrade them. I have tried everything including restoring my phone and I still get the same message.
My AT&T BB Torch 9810 came with CNN and ESPN bookmarks already on the phone.I have followed the usual directions for deleting them however there is no option to delete or edit with the pre-installed ones as there is with the bookmarks that I set.
My month old BB Torch 9810 has automatically deleted "old" text messages and my outgoing text messages up to a few days old. The cursor on my Torch 9810 has disappeared. No matter how much I try to rub the 'trackball/trackpad' the cursor just won't reappear.I removed the battery, waited about 2 mins, reinserted it, but the problem persists!Please help! As my Subject line indicates our Blackberry Torch 9810 all of a sudden shut off and won't come back on. Plugged the charger in, took the battery out and put it back in, to no avail. The RED LED (left one on top) keeps flashing, first once, then after a short pause 3 more times and then repeats. I've looked everywhere to find what that sequence means and I can't locate that info anywhere.

The situation is the following: If I go to the PC Device Manager (from "My Computer") I get the Blackberry device recognized and working properly, this means that the PC is understanding that I connected a BB. But when I open the Desktop Software and the BB Device Manager there is no way they can see it. I tried everything: 1) clean reinstallation of the software 2) Update of BB USB drivers 3) Different USB cables 4) Different USB ports 5) USB Drive/Sync Media/Charge Only modes 6) Full restart of the BB (alt-shift-del) 7) I followed many many many related topics I need to connect my BB because i need to reset it to factory settings since the battery is lasting maximum 1/2 day (no background running apps, no long backlighting, everything seems to be ok)...
Last week I purchased the new Torch 9810, a couple of days of use the trackpad started malfunctioning and well...for the first time in many years I received a defective device, yesterday I managed to change it for a new one without any problems. As soon as I got home, I did the device switch operation with my BB desktop software without any problems too, but today I noticed something was diferent, I don't have or find anywhere in my phone the OS 7 digital compass. I know it's no big deal, but it was a nice app and would really like to install it on my new BB. I have just bought a 9810 and updated to the latest official OS from Telecom Serbia BlackBerry Handheld Software v188.8.131.521. I am experiencing very weak wifi signals. My Bold 9000, iPhone and laptop can recognise over 10 wifi networks around my house. But the Torch 9810 cannot even recognise the one in my room, 10 ft away. However when I sit next to the Router it does recognise?
I use Torch 9810 to record conversation (client meeting) , once I press "record button" it works fine but recording automatically stop every 5 minutes, e.g. if meeting last 1 hour I will have to press "record" button 12 times (every 5 minutes). Does anyone know if it is possible to disable this constraint (5 minutes) in 9810?
